Blockhouse Bay Primary School - Making Our Rainbow Lollipops

We did lots of making, talking and exploring in our sculpture inquiry. We were inspired by looking at and making different sorts of sculptures. We drew our own sculpture ideas. Everyone voted and chose the idea of rainbow lollipops idea from Chagi’s drawing. We found out how to make our lollipops and took action by making them. The lollipops have smiley faces on them and are multi-coloured. We chose our sculpture name 'Our Rainbow Lollipops' because it belongs to us and the rainbow colours are for everybody at school. The sculpture is made up of 5 wooden painted ‘lollipops’ on posts that have been cemented into the ground. You can find these outside the back of Room 16. You can touch them but don't lick them!
