Swimming Morning Mission

Blockhouse Bay Primary School - Swimming Morning Mission

On a cold Friday morning, Room 14 completed a morning mission as part of their Swimming lesson.

After practising our swimming survival skills, Mr Cassidy gave us more noodles and flutter boards. He explained to us that we were going to do a Morning Mission in the swimming pool. This morning mission was inspired by Mrs Joyce, who came up with the idea with her class, Room 13. A morning mission is an open ended challenge that is usually linked to what we are learning in the classroom. It is team based and allows us students to be experts, architects and creators. For this morning mission, we were told to build a waka (boat). Some of us made rafts, some of us could actually float on our waka.

Such fun!
