Our Trip to Arataki was filled with learning opportunities.
We learnt about Kauri Die-back disease and made sure we washed our shoes before and after we went into the bush.
We shared what we knew about the life cycle of plants and learnt about the different ways seeds get from the tree to the soil to grow new plants.
We played a pollination game and found out about the birds and bees that pollinate our plants so that new seeds grow.
We looked at many different invertebrates and dug up leaf litter to look for some of our own - we found tiny insects and bigger ones which we examined under the magnifying glasses.
What a great day of learning we had!
